All of us here at Lord Jesus Ministry in Asia truly hope you have the happiest New Year in 2012. Those of you following us know we have made a lot of changes for the New Year. One of those changes was our school near the village Gangnapur now begins the new academic school year in January. This year classes open in session on the 16th of January. Our annual start up costs just for a new school year alone in Gangnapur is about $1750 USD for new textbooks, uniforms, and all the various school supplies needed for our students who live in our Orphanage Home with 24 hour care. Also, two of our students require prayers and costly medical attention at this time. Read more »

What a Glorious Day….

January 14, 2012

bernard

In the summer of 2008, one of our volunteers whom Lord Jesus Ministry had rehabilitated off the streets disappeared without a trace. Bernard Watson, a very faithful and hardworking volunteer with Lord Jesus Ministry just vanished.  There were no leads, and, as a homeless person, there is little that can be done at times although Lord Jesus Ministry has been very successful in the past in finding those who wander. This one was quite unique and we just kept sending to the Lord our prayers. Did Bernard backslide or was he somehow in trouble or simply did he decide to quietly drift away to another part of India to start a new life without giving proper notice for some unknown reason? Ramdhari Sahani Ahiyapur

Just to the north of us is a man named Ramdhari Sahani Ahiyapur who lives now in the nearby Indian state of Bihar with a mission. Years ago, he was a drug smuggler trafficking various drugs across the region and across the border of the neighboring nation of Nepal. Then one day he was caught. In an Indian jail, often one only survives by one’s family support as food and medicines are hard to come by and not always provided by the prison, so this man had to go to the jailer for assistance, but what he wanted most was some alcohol. He said he literally begged his keeper to give him the alcohol to douse his pain. The jailer, being a believer in Christ, offered him instead something of more sustenance in the form of Jesus Christ Who in John 4 told the woman at the well, “Everyone who drinks this water will become thirsty again. But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never become thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become a well of water for him, springing up to eternal life.” Read more »

Christmas Campaign 2011

January 9, 2012

Thank you! to all who helped make this year’s annual Christmas Campaign such a HUGE success! Although it was less than last year and we faced so many obstacles, we managed somehow to reach out to almost 1,100 underprivileged children & adults with food, toys, blankets, coats/jackets, etc. all across the region once more from Kolkata (Calcutta) and the village areas of Nadia to the mountains in the North. We have various outreach programs to those in the area and plenty of fellowship, worship, food, and fun  to spread the love of Jesus Christ to those in need! We appreciate your love, prayers, and support which made all of this possible! God Bless you! We pray for you each and every day to have the best New Year ever!

In Loving Memory of Sunny Mullick: March 1, 1992 – December 22, 2011

January 9, 2012

Sunny Mullick was found on the streets of Kolkata sitting on the sidewalk eating whatever including bugs & various insects that came across his pathway with no one to even help him to the toilet just sitting in the mess. He was severely handicapped physically & mentally and in a very weakened state when Carlton & Heather Rixon found him and immediately took him into Lord Jesus Ministry so many years ago. Read more »

Our 2011 Annual Christmas Card

December 6, 2011

One way you can help us this year is to download and print out our Annual 2011 Christmas Card by clicking the link above. By sharing our ministry and this card with your family and friends about what we do, it helps us to reach even more people over here that are struggling in these desperate times.

This is a tri-fold .pdf file of our Christmas Card for 2011. Just print it out on both sides of one piece of paper in color and then fold the right side in and then cover it by folding the left side back across the previous fold to match. Just pass it out to all those who you know would be interested for example those in your church, at work, or family & friends at parties. See the story below for more details on what we will be doing this year for our Annual Christmas Campaign.

God Bless you and thanks for sharing! We are praying for you as always! Merry Christmas!

This Christmas you can help us again reach out to the masses of souls in need by supporting our annual Christmas Campaign with your prayers. Your gifts of love will reach many with God’s love and grace. Last year, LJM was able to reach over 1,350 people because of you. Join us again this year by donating now! Thank you very much!

Each gift of love costs us $5 per person to buy, sort, ship, and deliver them all across the region. Read more »

This Fall in Nepal

November 10, 2011

Once again, Lord Jesus Ministry was able to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ (Matt. 28:18-20) and send a mission team deep in the remote mountains of Nepal. This year we set out with one month left of the worst monsoon season in over a decade! We were confronted with lots of torrential rainfall, mudslides, tons and tons of leeches, an earthquake, and a rumor of bird flu! Once more, we saw God move in answered prayers for many miracles and most of all changed hearts in conversions and baptisms. Read more »
