Lord Jesus Ministry welcomes everyone willing and able to contribute his/her talents! Teachers, education majors, medical professionals and students, preachers, Bible college students, high school graduates, retirees, and those who simply wish to make a difference to some very special children and aspiring disciples wishing for change in a desperate world are invited to come and donate their time and abilities and energy. No matter your race, gender, religious background, vocation, or occupation, you are welcome to join our team in order to help and bless the lost and the least of West Bengal and even be helped and blessed yourself.
There are only a few teachers at the Lord Jesus School. All of them do a great job in not only teaching, but also in looking after the children; however, help and support are always welcome.
So, if you are involved in education, interested in spending time with the children, or wanting to provide medical care, please contact us.
- To apply for a placement as a volunteer, please contact Heather Rixon by email (h_rixon@yahoo.co.in) and briefly state what you would like to do and why you would like to work for the Lord Jesus School & Orphanage. In order to contribute to the work in the school, you should be able to communicate proficiently in English, both written and spoken.
- There is no commission. Once you are admitted for the voluntary work, all you have to do is get your passport, India visa, and book a flight to Kolkata.
- Please plan to stay for at least four (4) weeks.
- You will be offered an accommodation in the city (Kolkata) and also in the Lord Jesus School (Gangnapur). A newly renovated room (bath and kitchen included) awaits you to make you feel comfortable during your stay.
