Our work started in Sikkim in the year 2002. Our brother, Mr. Jeevan Thappa, who is a former taekwondo teacher, turned to the Lord and decided to serve him through the Lord Jesus Ministry. He moved to this place called Namchi, which is in Sikkim, with his wife, son, and daughter. Since then, he has been ministering and visiting the poor and the sick people of the area. Along with the church evangelism program, we started an educational program for children as there is no proper school in that village.

In the year 2006, we decided to have a regular school according to the board of education. We did not get officially approved, but, from the local authorities, we were able to get a temporary approval, so the school began to function as a regular school.  Now, the school is registering in the government records and has been approved to receive ration cards for each attending student, and we now serve Lower Nursery to Class V (5).

We currently have over 35 children in this program, each requiring only $20.00 USD per month in order to cover school-related materials, uniforms, and lunch each day.
